Many people may be unaware that regular dryer vent cleaning and maintenance is extremely important. 

Have you noticed your clothes are taking longer to dry?  Chances are your dryer vent is clogged.  With today's fast paced environment, cleaning the dryer vent can be easily overlooked. 

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission stated that in 1998 there were over 15,000 fires related to clothes dryers resulting in 20 fatalities and about 400 injuries in the United States.  In fact, clothes dryers have become one of the leading causes of house fires. 

Although the lint filter blocks most lint, many small particles of lint still pass though the filter.  Because of air moisture the lint easily attach itself to the lining of the dryer vent walls.  As the lint begins to build up from the filter all the way to the exhaust vent, the risk for a dryer vent fire increases.

Why should you clean your dryer vent?
